One of our current projects, is the "VW 1303SL", "SL" for Sportleicht, sport lightweight in German. Project based on an original 1973 Volkswagen 1303S, painstakingly restored and retaining all its original characteristics with no irreversible modifications made. The inspiration for this project comes from the iconic VW1303"RS", from Mr. Seltzer @vw1303rs

Chassis | Floorpan fully restored with the following mechanical mods:
  • Tuned Porsche Type IV engine equipped with 911 fan shroud

  • Twin 44 IDF WEBER carburettors

  • Front mounted external oil radiator

  • Custom-built "RSR" exhaust pipe

  • Five speed Porsche gearbox

  • Porsche vented disk brakes with stainless mesh brake lines

  • Porsche rear aluminium suspension arms

  • Fully adjustable front and rear coil-overs with Bilstein shock absorbers all-round

  • Front and rear Anti-roll sway bars

  • Custom-built aluminium petrol tank

  • Black powder coated roll-bar

  • BBS aluminium wheels and Avon CR6ZZ tyres

Body | Fully striped and restored
  • Original body painted in Porsche Silver Metallic L96D

  • California side mirrors

  • Rear and front and rear side windows in Macrolon glass, tinted in light green

  • Fibreglass doors, door steps, engine lid and rear wheel arches

  • Period correct bucket seats, upholstered in black vinyl/corduroy

  • Four-point seatbelts

  • 35mm Momo Alcantara steering wheel

  • Custom-built wood shifter knob

  • Porsche speedometer to 260kms, rev-counter and various VDO gauges

  • SINGULAR badging with unique project numbering and information

  • Exterior side SINGULAR gold badging
